Eid in Saudi on Thursday or Friday - Sources have confirmed that crescent sighting teams could not sight the new moon. This indicatesthat Wednesday, 7 Aug will be the 29th day of Ramadan. The first dayof Shawwal will be on Thursday or Friday, based on sighting the crescent, According to the directives by the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia, residents and crescent watching teams prepared to sight the Shawwal moon on Tuesday evening. However, the crescent was not sighted in various parts ofthe kingdom. The next sighting exercise has been called for tomorrow evening,that is, after sunset on Wednesday,7 Aug. If the new moon is spotted tomorrow, then Eid will be on Thursday. Otherwise, Muslims in Saudi will enjoy the complete 30 days of the blessed month and celebrate Eid Al-Fitr on Friday, 9 Aug.
